Auckland, New Zealand

New Zealand's largest city, and the world's largest Polynesian city, is a marine playground. Auckland wraps around the Waitemata Harbour. Sightseeing tours along Waterfront Drive and through the suburb of Tamaki Heights are popular, as are visits to the Underwater World, Mount Eden and its crater of an extinct volcano, and Braeburn Farm for a demonstration of sheep dog herding. Beach-goers will want to head to Takapuna, just four miles north of the city.
