Nadi is the gateway to Fiji. Located on the western side of Viti Levu, it has a population of more than 10,000 and offers a wide array of restaurants, nightlife, duty-free shopping, sightseeing tours and inter-island cruises. Apart from the city itself, day tours offer trips to the Momi Guns, a group of bunkers and gun emplacements left over from World War II, as well as trips to Mount Victoria, Fiji's highest peak, and the tropical Waqadra Botanical Gardens, Fiji's largest privately owned gardens. The area also offers a local beach, scuba diving and snorkeling, as well as one of two 18-hole golf courses in Fiji.
